Signs Your Heater Needs A Repair

Performance Issues

-The furnace is blowing cold air or not heating at all.
-The furnace turns on and off more often than it should.
-Your heating expenses have suddenly increased.
-Some rooms are not heated properly, or it takes longer to heat your home.
-The air inside your home feels unusually dry.

Unusual Sounds and Smells

-Loud or unusual sounds like banging, rattling, humming, or whistling.
-A "rotten egg" smell, this is a serious sign of a gas leak.
-A burning odor could indicate an overheating motor or a dirty heat exchanger.

Pilot light and flame issues

- Yellow or flickering pilot light can indicate improper combustion and a potential carbon monoxide risk. A healthy pilot light should be a steady blue flame.

-A yellow or flickering flame can indicate incomplete combustion. If the burner flame is yellow instead of blue, it means the furnace is not burning fuel efficiently, which can be a carbon monoxide risk.
